After shooters uploaded selfies and motivational quotes for their ID card applications, the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) has made it mandatory for the shooters to use passport size photographs. NRAI also went in to warn the athletes of 'disciplinary actions’ if they fail to comply.

Following the NRAI's decision to start online applications, many shooters uploaded selfies and went as far as to send motivational messages for creating their ID cards. Seeing the response, the NRAI has issued a strict warning to the shooters, making it mandatory to use passport size photographs. Any failure to comply with these terms would lead to 'disciplinary actions’ against the athletes. Along with the warning, NRAI has also attached the image of the 'Good Morning’ quote a shooter had uploaded in the application.

“Shooters are advised to submit complete information and attach documents while filing their applications “online”. In absence of proper information and documents, the process of issue of ID will be delayed,” a note on the website of NRAI read.

“It has been observed that some shooters are not attaching proper photos with their applications. No selfies or angular photos are accepted. Passport size photos with white background will only be accepted."

Referring to the image that had been attached with the warning, the NRAI mentioned that actions are already being taken against the shooter who sent the image. The procedure initiating online appliances for the shooters was introduced early this year to enable a systematic way of handling the applications.

“Action has already been initiated against the shooter who has sent this message instead of his photo,” the note said.
