Dale Steyn painted a happy picture as he claimed that he was happy to be back in India playing for RCB in the IPL alongside Virat Kohli, who has been a part of the squad since he was 18. Kohli-led RCB made their way to a one-run win against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings recently.

Royal Challengers Bangalore seem to have overcome their early season slump after winning their third match of the season as they outplayed MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings by one run on Sunday. It was a match to remember at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium as Dhoni turned back the clock with a sublime 84* off just 48 deliveries.

RCB had an old horse of their own on the pitch in the form of South Africa pacer - Dale Steyn. The South African speedster proved crucial with the ball as he chipped early wickets and finished with figures of 2 for 39 in four overs. Steyn got the crucial wickets of opener Shane Watson and Suresh Raina only to rekindle memories of his prime. In two games that Steyn has played so far, he has bagged four wickets to bring RCB back on track and captain Kohli is undoubtedly pleased with the latest run of positive results.

Steyn has said that he was happy to witness Kohli's rise right from the outset when he was 18. “It feels fantastic to be back with RCB and the social media posts bring back lots of memories and makes me nostalgic. It also shows how well you’ve done. This man (Kohli) has gone on taken and taken the world by storm and is one of the best players if not the best in the world. I was lucky enough to watch him in the beginning when he was 18,” Steyn told Kohli at the post-match interview last night.

The Bangalore-based franchise are now level on points with seventh placed Rajasthan Royals with four games to play. RCB’s next game see them hosting Kings XI Punjab before they travel to the national capital to face Delhi.
