Fourth seeds Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna will face the Australian pair of John Peers and Samantha Stosur in the pre-quarterfinals of the mixed doubles event. Third seeds Rafael Nadal and Garbine Muguruza will take on the Czech Republic pair of Lucie Hradecká, Radek Štěpánek in the Round of 16.

After a poor outing in the men’s and women’s doubles events, Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna will be looking to make amends in the mixed doubles event when they face the Australian pair of John Peers and Samantha Stosur in the pre-quarterfinals of the mixed doubles event on Wednesday (August 11). The fourth seeds could face second seeds Kristina Mladenovic and Pierre-Hugues Herbert of France in the semi-final.

Another French pair Caroline Garcia and Nicolas Mahut have received the top-seed billing, while Rafael Nadal and Garbine Muguruza of Spain are seeded third. Former World No.1 Venus Williams will partner Rajeev Ram in the event and will face the Dutch pair of Jean-Julien Rojer and Kiki Bertens in the pre-quarters. The complete draw is available here.

However, 2012 Olympic gold medallists Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka of Belarus will not be part of the event along with silver medallists Andy Murray and Laura Robson. Azarenka had pulled out of the event as she is expecting her child. Surprisingly, Serbia's Novak Djokovic and USA's Serena Williams are not part of the event.

Correction : We had erroneously reported that Mirza-Bopanna could face second seeds Garcia and Mahut in the semis in the original article. It has since been corrected.
