Sania Mirza maintains her No.1 rank

In the recently released WTA rankings, Indian star Sania Mirza remained at the top of WTA women’s doubles ranking following her victory at the Pan Pacific Open alongside her new partner Barbora Strycova. Meanwhile, her Olympic mixed-doubles partner Rohan Bopanna remained at 18th men's doubles.

With 9,730 points, Sania Mirza continued to be the No.1 in the latest WTA women’s doubles rankings, closely followed by her ex-partner Martina Hingis at No.2(9,725 points).

In the men's singles ranking, Saketh Myneni stood at No. 138, which is also India’s highest rank in the singles category. Another Indian singles player, Ramkumar Ramanathan plummeted 10 places to 229, while the injured Yuki Bhambri dropped 62 places to 282 on the ATP rankings.

Rohan Bopanna has retained his place at No. 18 in the men's doubles ranking while Leander Paes moved four places up to 60.

In the men's singles rankings, Novak Djokovic maintained his No.1 spot while US Open winner Stan Wawrinka moved to third position behind Brit Andy Murray. Spain's Rafael Nadal and Japan's Kei Nishikori occupy the fourth and fifth ranks respectively.

Germany's Angelique Kerber is ranked as the No.1 in women's singles rankings following her US Open victory, as Serena Williams, who lost in the semis of the tournament, remains second in the rankings. Switzerland's Garbine Muguruza is ranked third while Agnieszka Radwanska and Simona Halep occupy the fourth and fifth ranks in the single rankings respectively.
