French Open 2017| Murray faces an uphill road to the finals

The French Open draws have been revealed and Andy Murray has been handed a tricky path to what would be his second consecutive final at Roland Garros. Though Murray has avoided the likes of Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal in his half, he still faces a tough road to the finals in Paris.

The French Open draw was revealed earlier today. Rafael Nadal, last year's French Open winner Novak Djokovic, seventh positioned Dominic Thiem and World No. 1 and runner-up of the last French Open Andy Murray start as favorites to win the second slam of the year.

Nadal who has been known as the king of clay court will start his proceedings against World No. 44 Benoit Paire while Djokovic will open his campaign against World No. 76 Marcel Granollers. Murray would definitely want to bounce back to winning ways and would take on

Murray, on the other hand, will definitely want to bounce back to winning ways when he takes on World No. 87 Andrey Kuznetsov. Murray could face an early challenge in the third round where he might go against Juan Martin Del Porto if the Argentine features in the tournament. Stan Wawrinka will take on the winner of the Qualifiers.

The Indian duo of Ramkumar Ramanathan and Yuki Bhambri were knocked out of the qualifiers and we will have to wait for the doubles and mixed doubles draw to be certain of Indian representation.
