Miami Open | Yuki Bhambri’s magnificent run ends with second round loss to Jack Sock
Yuki Bhambri failed to continue his journey at the Miami Open as he faced a 3-6, 6-7 second-round loss to eighth seed Jack Sock. Meanwhile, Roger Federer has also been knocked out of the competition after suffering a 6-3, 3-6, 6-7(4) defeat to the 175th ranked Thanasi Kokkinakis of Australia.
The Indian tennis player, who has been on the form of his life, failed to showcase his rich vein of form against Sock. After losing the first game he managed to save his service but lost his second serve which gave a breakpoint to his opponent who got a 3-1 lead. The Indian then tried to stage a come back in the game by saving his next serve and also earning the breakpoint in the very next game which gave a chance for him to bounce back at 3-4 with Sock in the lead. From that moment, Sock didn’t give a chance to Bhambri at all and used his all his experience to win the first set 6-3.
