Pranjala Yadlapalli has stated that playing consistently and winning against some of the best players is a very satisfying experience for her. She recently won two consecutive $25000 ITF titles in Lagos, Nigeria when she defeated the same opponent Conny Perrin of Switzerland in hard court battles.
It has been an unprecedented year for the young Hyderabad girl Pranjala Yadlapalli. She won two back to back ITF women’s singles title in Nigeria which has brought her into the limelight. Before these performances, she had last won a singles tournament back in July 2017 in Egypt which was her only singles ITF title till recently.
“Yes, I have been waiting for long for this to happen. I am glad not just with the wins but the manner in which I played consistently against some of the best players. It is immensely satisfying”, Pranjala told The Hindu.
“Yes, consistency has been one factor which I will strive to achieve. I am really working hard and beating some tough players over two weeks is a huge morale-booster too.”
She also credits former Australian player and her mentor Stephen Coon and his academy for her success.
