PV Sindhu : I'll approach All England like any other Superseries
PV Sindhu has said she prefers to approach the famed All England Championship like any other Superseries event although it is the world's oldest badminton tournament and steeped in history. The 21-year-old aims to break into the top-3 by the year-end after moving up fifth in the rankings this month.
Sindhu has failed to go past the second round at the All England in four attempts and was knocked out in the opening round by Thailand’s Porntip Buranaprasertsuk last year.
"I consider the All England as like any normal Superseries tournament. People may think as if it's a big tournament by its name. But as a player, I would be playing the same players who I play in other Superseries matches tournaments, so it is the same for me," Sindhu told PTI.

Sindhu, who broke her Superseries duck at the China Open last year, is happy with her preparation for the All England that starts on March 7.
"I am preparing well and every match is equally important in the tournament. I have been playing with boys here which is helpful for me. I'm training hard day and night to achieve the goal. I have no tension I only play to give my best."
Sindhu, who will open her campaign at Birmingham against Denmark's Mette Poulsen, also said she is determined to get into the top-three of the BWF rankings by the end of this year.
"When I started the season last year, I was expecting that I will improve my rankings. Now I am working hard to reach world number 3 by the end of this year. There are many important tournaments this year, including the World Championship, so I would want to take step by step. My coach will decide what events I will play. Every tournament is important for me."
