Kharkiv international tournament | Indian mixed and Men's doubles team seal gold

India has clinched the gold medal at the Kharkiv International challenge in both the mixed and men's doubles events. Anoushka Parikh and Saurabh Sharma teamed up to secure the gold in the mixed team event while Krishna Prasad and Dhruv Kapila won the Men's event at the Championship.

Anoushka Parikh and Saurabh Sharma faced off with Poland's Pawel Smilowski and Magdalena Swierczynska in the final and the fans were in for treat that would last an hour and three minutes. The Indians got off to a bad start losing the first game 18-21. However, the Indian duo would not be undone and they fought back by winning the next two games 21-19 and 22-20 to seal the win.

On the other hand, the Men's team of Krishna Prasad and Dhruv Kapila took just 36 minutes to beat Daniel Hess and Johannes Pistorius of Germany in a one sided final with the scoreboard reading 21-19, 21-16.

But it wasn't as perfect for the other stars as it was for the aforementioned two teams. Women’s doubles pair of Simran Singhi and Ritika Thaker had lost in the semi-finals while the Mixed Doubles pair of Rohan Kapoor and Kuhoo Garg failed to get through the quarter-finals. The Men’s doubles pair of Rohan and Shivam Sharma also suffered a loss in the semi-finals.
