BWF Rankings | Kidambi Srikanth slips to eighth position
Kidambi Srikanth has slipped to the eighth position in the recently-released Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings. On the other hand, Sameer Verma, Parupalli Kashyap and Harsheel Danni’s rankings have shown improvement on the fresh list released by the global body on Tuesday.
Former World No. 1 Srikanth has further gone down on the BWF ranking list as he is now placed at the eighth place after the India Open, Malaysia Open and Singapore Open tournaments. However, India’s young sensation Harsheel Dani, who recently won the Dutch International title has made massive progress. Dani has moved 22 places up to be ranked 89th in the world.
Sameer Verma is the other shuttler after Srikanth in Top 20 after his quarter-final entry at the Singapore Open. Verma has jumped a place up to the 15th place on the table while Lakshya Sen, after his success at the Polish Open has gone up to the 39th position in the fresh BWF rankings.
While there was no change with the positions of the female shuttlers, B Sai Prraneeth and H S Prannoy also continued being at the 20th and 21st positions respectively. Among the women, PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal are in Top 10 at the sixth and ninth place respectively.
