Mohinder Amarnath: If Dhoni keeps playing well, then he will be there in the 2019 World Cup
Former national team selector, Mohinder Amarnath has stated that MS Dhoni's performance in the coming games will decide whether he will get a spot in the 2019 World Cup. Amarnath added that he was quite impressed with the young Indian team and said that they have all the qualities required to win.

However, former national selector Mohinder Amarnath and a member of India's 1983 World Cup-winning team has expressed some doubts about the odds of Dhoni playing in England in 2019.

The 67-year-old asserted that he was quite happy the current team and voiced his excitement about watching them perform. However, he was quick to add that the real test for this team would be when they travel abroad, South Africa, England and Australia, over the next year.
"The young team has talent, variations, quality and self-belief. All these qualities are necessary, but it will be a different challenge when they play abroad. Let's wait and see. I have faith in them."
Amarnath also talked about Mumbai's young batsman Prithvi Shaw, who recently scored a ton in the Duleep Trophy, breaking Sachin Tendulkar's record.
"I have not watched him play but I am sure he must be a very talented kid. I hope his dreams come true," said the 67-year-old.
