The KSCA has requested the BCCI to swap or change the date for the first T20I between India and Australia which is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru on February 24. This request has come in due to the clashing of dates with the Aero Show which will be held in the city from February 20-24.

Initially, Bengaluru was supposed to host an ODI encounter between India and Australia in March, but the BCCI granted the first T20I to the venue which means both the team will be in the city a week prior to the match. However, KSCA has been put under immense pressure after the Aero Show came to the city and that is sure to create logistical problems.

KSCA spokesperson Vinay Mruthyunjaya was quoted by ToI as saying, “The KSCA has made an official request to the BCCI and we are waiting for the confirmation from BCCI in this regard. KSCA has also requested the BCCI to consider swapping the 27th February match with the Bengaluru match. Due to the Aero show, police have requested KSCA to look at an alternative date to ensure adequate security for the T20 match.KSCA has made an official request to the BCCI and we are waiting for the confirmation.”

With the Aero Show scheduled to be held from February 20th to 24th at the Yelahanka Air Force Station, the movement of the vehicles will also be affected and the Bengaluru police don't want the teams to suffer any chaos whatsoever.

The Australian team is scheduled to tour India for 2 T20Is and 5 ODIs in the months of February and March with the first T20 kicking off at The M Chinnaswamy Stadium itself.
