Wahab Riaz has stated that Pakistan players need to lift themselves up and back each other. Pakistan have only managed a solitary win in the tournament so far and will have to win all the games in order to make it to the semi-finals which looks like a difficult task considering their recent form.
Pakistan are in hot water with just three points from five games so far and in a desperate need of a win against South Africa in their upcoming game. It’s a must-win game for the Asian side and pacer Wahab Riaz has urged his teammates to lift themselves and back each other.
“We have to lift ourselves. We are each other’s strength. We are all good friends and know that only 15 of us can lift the team which not even our family members can do,” Riaz said, reported AFP.
Riaz further stated that good teams are the ones who realise their mistakes and rectify it at the earliest. Pakistan have made good use of the break and figured out where they went wrong. The left-arm pacer is determined to do well in their must-win game against South Africa.
“Good teams are the ones who realise their mistakes, so we have discussed all those mistakes and a two day break has refreshed us. As a bowling unit we are trying hard, We are all focused to do well in the South Africa match. You need wickets upfront in England but we were not getting that,” Riaz added.
