Pakistan's Head coach Misbah ul Haq is excited about young speedster Naseem Shah and believes he and his pace will be a surprise package for the Kangaroos' star-studded batting line up. Misbah is also hoping for his side to win their first series Down Under after six long decades of disappointment.

After a humiliating whitewash at home, Pakistan has turned to their youngsters for revamping their cricketing system. Head coach Misbah ul Haq is especially excited to see how teen pacer Naseem Shah would do on fast Australian pitches where he will get some assistance.

It would also be interesting to see the teenager bowl to an in-form Steve Smith if he is selected in the playing XI, but several critics are against fielding the youngster against the Kangaroos as it might dent his confidence if he goes for a ride on his debut.

"In all spells, he's bowling quick and his control with the ball is also good," TOI quoted Misbah as saying so to reporters in Sydney.

"So we're looking forward that he can just bowl well here in Australia where the conditions may just give him some sort of assistance and getting some pace and bounce from these wickets. Everybody is excited to just get him in the team also.

"We're looking forward that if he can just put the ball in the right areas with that kind of pace, (he) could be a surprise package."

For Pakistan, the upcoming tour of Australia will be all about their youngsters as Misbah seems to have placed all his faith on them. While 19-year-old Musa Khan has been picked for both the T20Is and Tests, Shaheen Afridi was included in the squad as the third teenage pacer for the Test matches.

The inclusion of the youngsters, as told by the chief selector, is to regain the long lost consistency of the Pakistan team as they look for their first Test series win Down Under in over last six decades.

"Obviously we want to use that unpredictability in a good manner, in a positive manner. We don't want to just go there and sometimes fail. We need to be more consistent with our good performances and that's what we are trying to do at the moment."
