Tamil Nadu and Tripura maintained their 100% records while Railways registered their first victory of the 2019 Vijay Hazare Trophy on Wednesday. While Tripura and Railways won their matches through VJD method, the Dinesh Karthik-led TN thrashed an out of colour Services team by 212 runs.

Tamil Nadu and Tripura continue to make hay while the sun shines as the two teams extended their impressive 100% start to the 2019 Vijay Hazare Trophy by winning their second match in two days. Railways, on the other hand, also got off to the perfect start, beating newly-promoted Bihar to sit third on the Elite Group C table, just behind Tamil Nadu (1st) and Tripura (2nd).  The Elite Group C teams will now get some much deserved rest on Thursday before getting on with their next round of games on Friday.

Tamil Nadu 294/8 (50) beat Services 82 all-out (19.1) by 212 runs

Skipper Dinesh Karthik (95) and Hari Nishanth (73) put on a terrific 144-run partnership to propel TN to a total of 294, before Krishnamoorthy Vignesh (5/41) ran through the Services batting to secure a crushing victory for the team from TN.

Tripura 268-8 (50) beat Madhya Pradesh 86-6 (26) by 104 runs (VJD Method)

Tanmay Mishra, the veteran who has played more than 50 International matches for Kenya, struck a blistering 101-ball 102 to guide his team out of trouble and take them to a fine total of 268. Madhya Pradesh then lost wickets in quick succession to find themselves reeling at 86-6 before rain eventually put an end to their misery, handing the victory to Tripura through VJD Method.

Railways 289-6 (50) beat Bihar 155-6 (43) by 84 runs (VJD method)

Skipper Arindam Ghosh (96) and Vikrant Rajput (70) built on the starts provided by Mangal Mahrour (44) and Ashish Sehrawat (41) to take Railways to an above-par score of 289 on a tricky surface, with Vivek Kumar (3/55) excelling for Bihar.  In reply, Karn Sharma's 3/23 rocked back  the chasing team and although Shasheem Rathour struck an immaculate unbeaten 86, it wasn't enough as they eventually succumbed to the quality of Railways by 84 runs through VJD method.
