A perfect start is always memorable, especially when it comes to a high-stakes match with so much on the line. This was exactly the case in the eliminator clash between Birmingham Phoenix and Southern Brave at the Oval, where Adam Milne delivered a stunning breakthrough for the Phoenix.

‌A packed Oval was buzzing with anticipation as Birmingham Phoenix prepared to face Southern Brave in the eliminator match. Moeen Ali won the toss and opted to field first, setting the stage for an electric contest. Both teams received a rousing welcome from the crowd as Alex Davies and James Vince stepped up to bat for the Brave. Ali entrusted the new ball to Adam Milne, who quickly made an impact by striking on just the second ball of the match.

The Kiwi pacer came over the wicket and delivered a well-directed good-length ball. It pitched around off stump on the dry surface and moved away slightly after bouncing. Davies attempted an elegant drive but ended up edging the ball thickly. The ball soared to the left of backward point, where Benny Howell was positioned. The French-born, stationed at the edge of the circle, dived to his left and snagged the white ball in his left hand. Milne was fired up after drawing first blood for Phoenix, sending the Twitterverse into a frenzy.
