Cricket has seen various rules and regulations evolve, with Mankading becoming one of the more talked-about tactics. Ravichandran Ashwin, known for using this controversial method, recently found himself on the receiving end during a TNPL game. Mohan Prasanth of Nellai attempted to Mankad him.

‌In the 28th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League held in Dindigul, the Nellai Royal Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Dragons had a rocky start, losing opener Vimal Khumar to N Kabilan. However, Shivam Singh steadied the innings, scoring a half-century off 40 deliveries. Despite wickets falling at the other end, hopes were pinned on Ravichandran Ashwin to keep the scoreboard ticking for Dindigul. But Ashwin faced an unusual welcome from Mohan Prasath.

After Varun Chakravarthy's dismissal, Ashwin came to the crease in the 14th over. Before he could face his first delivery, the Indian veteran was given a surprising warning by Prasath. As Prasath began his run-up to bowl the 15th over to Shivam, he noticed Ashwin stepping out of his crease. Prasath paused and gave Ashwin a sly warning, signalling that he could have been Mankaded if he hadn't returned to the crease. This incident brought back memories of Ashwin's own history with Mankading, leading to a flurry of reactions on social media, with fans and commentators discussing the moment.
