Melbourne Renegades beat Hobart Hurricanes by 22 runs, climbing to second place on the points table. Georgia Wareham’s 69 off 45 helped Melbourne to reach 150/5 while Hobart's batting faltered as they struggled to form meaningful partnerships, ultimately falling short in the contest.

‌Melbourne Renegades had a shaky start after opting to bat first, with Molly Strano striking early to dismiss Hayley Matthews in the opening over. Sophie Molineux failed to make an impact, falling to Nicola Carey in the fourth over. Carey's double strike in the same over, removing Deandra Dottin, left the Renegades reeling at 23/3. However, Courtney Webb and Georgia Wareham steadied the innings, pushing the score to 52/3 by the eighth over. Webb's dismissal by Lauren Smith in the ninth over ended their promising partnership, but Wareham's brilliance shone through as she raced to a 35-ball half-century. Her crucial 69-run knock powered the Renegades to a competitive 150/5.

The Hurricanes struggled in their chase, losing Lizelle Lee to Milly Illingworth in the first over. Nicola Carey’s run-out in the third over compounded their troubles. Heather Graham's dismissal by Molineux in the sixth over left Hobart in dire straits at 21/3. Suzie Bates and Elyse Villani briefly revived the innings, taking the score to 48/3 after 10 overs. However, Bates’ dismissal by Matthews triggered another collapse, with Villani and Chloe Tryon departing in quick succession. With no meaningful partnerships to anchor the chase, the Hurricanes finished at 128/8 in 20 overs, falling 22 runs short.
