Duleep Trophy | Twitter erupts as Arshdeep delivers fierce send-off after dismissing Riyan Parag
Rivalries are a regular occurrence in cricket, but anything involving Riyan Parag tends to take the intensity up a notch. An example of this was witnessed during the Duleep Trophy match between India A and India D, where Arshdeep Singh gave an intense send-off after dismissing Parag.
India A had a steady start, with openers Pratham Singh and Mayank Agarwal putting up 18/0 in the first five overs. However, their partnership was broken when Vidhwath Kaverappa struck and provided India D with the breakthrough. The Karnataka pacer soon claimed his second scalp, dismissing Pratham Singh cheaply. Riyan Parag then came in with a 'Bazball' mindset, hitting a couple of boundaries and sixes. But his aggressive cameo was cut short when Arshdeep Singh took his wicket, leading to a wild celebration.
On the final ball of the 17th over, Arshdeep bowled a full-length delivery outside off-stump. Parag aimed to drive at it but ended up misjudging the line and length. He failed to move forward and swung hard, away from his body, resulting in a thick outside edge. The ball flew to first slip, where Devdutt Padikkal took a comfortable catch. As Parag made his way back to the pavilion, visibly frustrated and removing his armband in anger, Arshdeep erupted in celebration, shouting some choice words. The incident quickly went viral on social media, with fans reacting to Parag's clear displeasure.
