Central Delhi Kings had a positive start after being sent to bat first, as Yash Dhull and Siddharth Joon took advantage of the powerplay. The duo went on to score 51 runs for the opening partnership before Kulwant Khejroliya removed Joon for 27. Dhull was able to anchor the innings well, but Rudra Dev Yadav gave another breakthrough by removing Yugal Saini for 22. Jonty Sidhu was able to join Dhull to shift the momentum in the middle overs.
They stitched a 63-run partnership in the middle overs with various boundaries against spinners before Manan Bhardwaj removed Sidhu for 36. Dhull went on to score 55 runs off 38 balls before he lost his wicket to Shubham Dubey.
