India's New Spin Sensation? Manav Suthar Impresses on Debut
Manav Suthar has turned out to be impressive in his debut Test match. He was selected in the playing XI for the one off Test match against Afghanistan and made it count. Taking 3 wickets, he is going at an economy of less than 2 after bowling 15 overs.

The Day 2 of the one off Test match between India and Afghanistan also belonged to the Indian cricket team. After dominating the game with the bat, the Indian bowlers decided to join the party when Shubman Gill declared the innings at 564/8. All eyes were on the debutant Manav Suthar, who got an opportunity to play for the team.
With the bat, he had already done well, scoring 28 runs off 41 balls. And when he arrived with the ball, he was able to start his Test career with a wicket in his very first over. It happened in the 6th over, when he trapped Afghanistan's opener Abdul Malik, as the ball was nicely caught by Mohammed Siraj.
Along with that, even the other Afghanistani batsmen found it challenging to score runs against him. He went on to take the wickets of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Afsar Zazai, which helped India to finish the day well. And Manav Suthar finished by bowling 15.5 overs, where he conceded 21 runs and 7 overs were maiden.
Our Take
Manav Suthar has really received a dream start to his Test career. Such figures, where the majority of the overs bowled by him were maiden, and the way he dismantled the top order of Afghanistan was truly amazing. The Indian team is already trying out the spinners from domestic format, as India would be having 5 of its remaining 9 games in the WTC cycle at home.
