ICC Rankings Reward Shree Charani's Outstanding World Cup Form
Shree Charani has been rewarded for her brilliant form in the Women's T20 World Cup. She has managed to take 10 wickets for the Indian team in just three games. In the recent ICC rankings update, Charani has climbed at the top of the table in the T20I bowlers ranking.
India Women have received a strong start to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. While the batting line-up holds a lot of experience with players such as Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur, the bowling line-up was filled with young talents. One of them has proven herself at a global stage, and it is none other than Shree Charani, who is just 21 years old.
The team has played three games till now, and Charani has done well across all of them. This has helped her to take 10 wickets in just 3 games in her maiden edition of the Women's T20 World Cup. Even in the last game when all the other bowlers failed to take wickets, Charani was able to take 3 out of the total 4 wickets which fell down.
And looking at her dominant form in the shortest format of the game, she has also been rewarded. The ICC rankings received its weekly update, and Charani has now climbed at the top of the table. She is now holding the top spot in the ICC Women's T20I bowler rankings, replacing Charlie Dean.
