One Year After Retirement, Kohli Looks Back at His Test Captaincy Era
Virat Kohli has been the most successful Test captain for the Indian team. While he may not have been able to lead the team well in ICC events, his Test captaincy remains unmatched. In a recent video posted on RCB, Kohli reflected on his Test captaincy era.

It has been a year since India's modern generation Test favourite, Virat Kohli, retired from the game. While he was struggling to find his rhythm back in red ball cricket, he decided it would be better to retire and let the next generation take up the role.
But still, the Indian team struggles in the longest format of the game, making the fans remember of the Golden period when Virat Kohli led the Test side. Under his captaincy, India remained undefeated at home series and also dominated overseas against South Africa, England, and even Australia.

Recently, RCB posted a video having a podcast with Virat Kohli. He reflected on his time as the Test captain, as he said, “I in fact looked at the times that I have been able to play test cricket for so long and lead India for some amazing victories and and a golden era in our Test journeys. A bunch of young guys who wanted to play test cricket. Most importantly we are like no senior or junior, we were like a group of friends in our Test journey. Yes I was leading the side, but our group everyone felt like they had responsibilities and ownership.”
Our Take
Although Virat Kohli is no longer a part of the Test side, his contributions will always remain vital to the Indian cricket team. Helping India to win consecutive Test Mace, securing its first-ever Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, and the infamous Lord's win, he has done it all under his captaincy.
