After being snubbed for the Sri Lanka tour, Dinesh Karthik has admitted that his ambitions are to be part of the Indian team for the 2021 World T20 and the 2023 ODI World Cup. Karthik also stated that there is a realistic chance of him getting into the team, in the middle order, at Nos 5, 6 or 7.

Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram has predicted that India, who play fearless cricket in the T20 format, can win this year's T20 World Cup. He also went on to add that besides India, England and New Zealand are also title contenders, with the Windies boasting the ability to spring a surprise.

After ICC’s postponement of the T20 World Cup, reports suggest that BCCI and CA are set to discuss the possibility of ‘swapping’ T20 World Cups between them during the next ICC Board Meet. There also stands a good chance that the Women’s 50-over tournament will go ahead as per schedule.

Indian Women’s team ODI skipper Mithali Raj has confirmed that she wants to give it one more shot at winning the 50-over World Cup in 2021, after agonizingly coming close to doing so in 2017. 37-year-old Mithali revealed that she was planning to retire in the case of India triumphing in 2017.
