Bengaluru FC head coach Carles Cuadrat had mentioned that it is important to rotate the squad and preserve the best players in order to reach playoffs in the best condition. Caudrat was optimistic despite a winless streak in the last two games and blamed the circumstances for the run.

After a long injury layoff for Miku Fedor, Bengaluru FC’s midfielder Erik Paartalu is set to miss the remainder of the season due to injury concerns. Carles Cuadrat, the head coach for Bengaluru FC had mentioned that it was important to preserve such standout players and rotate the squad to maintain the team in its best possible form and condition till the playoffs.

“When you are playing games, you always have the risk of losing players because it is a contact sport. The plan was to get to the playoffs in the best condition, but unfortunately, we have already lost a very important player, who plays a crucial part in the team and also off the pitch, in the dressing room. This is the reason I have tried to rotate the squad because it is important to preserve your best talents,” said Cuadrat, reported ISL Media Team.

The Bengaluru FC head coach had admitted that the results in the past two games were tough for them but he was keen on getting back on form before the playoffs and hinted on the changes in the line-up for their next game against Delhi Dynamos. He had also asserted that it was important to manage the workload of players and preserve the best for the crucial games ahead.

"I don’t consider it a dip in form. Results have been tough for us because of the circumstances. It is how football is sometimes. I don’t want to give any clues to the opponent, but it happens, when you are so close to the playoffs you have to think about the crucial games. We want to preserve some players because we had to play seven games in a month," he said.

The Spaniard had praised Delhi Dynamos FC saying that they were a good team with talented players and a coach with great principles. He also added that the Dynamos weren’t in good dynamics at the start of the season and had to pay for their imprecise mentality.

"Delhi is a good team, playing good football and they have talented players who are led by a coach with a good philosophy. For me what is an accident is that at this moment they are not fighting for the playoffs because they have the quality and management to do that. They were not in a good dynamic at the start of the season and they are paying for that, " Cuadrat concluded.
