The English Premier League’s top team, Liverpool, has now been linked with the rumours of Elon Musk acquiring them. Recently, Elon Musk’s father Errol Musk said that his son is interested in buying the English Premier League club Liverpool. This information was revealed by him in an interview.
Errol Musk said about the deal between Elon Musk and Liverpool that,“I can’t comment on that. They’ll raise the price. Oh yes, but that doesn’t mean he’s buying it. Elon would like to, yes, obviously, anybody would want to. So would I.”
This further shows that it is not confirmed whether Elon Musk will be able to buy Liverpool or not. Currently, the team has been able to give their best performances in the English Premier League, holding the top spot in the standings with halfway of the tournament completed. Liverpool is currently being owned by the Fenway Sports Group (FSG).
The team was able to win its first Premier League title in 2020, which came after 30 years of its previous win. Following the rumours of Elon Musk willing to buy the team, FSG said that they are not willing to sell off the team, which they bought in 2010 for a deal worth £300 million. Currently, Liverpool is being valued at a price of £4.3 billion.
