India’s Jehan Daruvala swept to a double podium finish in the Saudi Arabian round of the Formula 2 championship this weekend. The 24-year-old, who races for Dutch team MP Motorsport, had gone from fifth to third after engaging in a hard-fought battle for the win in Saturday’s Sprint Race.

India’s Jehan Daruvala raced to his 16th Formula 2 podium with a hard-fought, third-place finish in the Sprint race of the championship’s Saudi Arabian round in Jeddah. Daruvala started fifth and was hustling eventual winner Ayumu Iwasa for the win but dropped to third just three laps from end.

Jehan Daruvala battled through the pack to overtake a qualifying setback during the Dutch round of the Formula 2 championship at Zandvoort. After the summer break, Daruvala had trouble keeping up with racing pace after being the fastest driver in the field throughout the first half of the season.
