Royal Challengers Bengaluru have started to dominate the IPL yet again. In yesterday's game against CSK, the team was able to put up 97 runs in the last five overs. This was the second highest done by them, with the first coming against Gujarat Lions in 2016.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are known for its aggressive batting, which has kept the team at the top of the table lately. In the recent game against CSK, RCB stood near 150 in the 15th over. But then their batsmen unleashed absolute carnage in the final five overs. All this was done by Tim David and Rajat Patidar.

In the final five overs of their innings, RCB managed to put up a massive total of 97 runs, finishing their innings at 250. But this is still the second highest, in terms of runs posted by the team in the last five overs of the game. The first one came back in 2016, in the match against Gujarat Lions.

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers went down to put up 112 runs for the team in the final five overs of the game against Gujarat Lions. Kohli went on to score 109 runs off 55 balls and de Villiers smashed 129 runs off just 52 balls. Both games ended up being a win for RCB, as the target was so huge.

Our Take

It is a great moment for the RCB fans to witness their batting carnage against the other teams. While Rajat Patidar and Tim David showed that the finishers of the team are way better than ever before, the combination of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli can never be forgotten.

Despite being the top order batters of the team, they managed to put down a big total. That innings of the team is still being cherished by the fans till this date, since it came at a moment when 200+ scores were rare to achieve in the Indian Premier League.
