India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar extended his good form on to Sunday in the British open with a sold display for two-under 70 in the final round as he ended Tied-25th at the British Masters, which also became his second-best finish of the season. Marucs Kinhult held his nerves on the final day.

Bhullar tallied seven-under 281 as he put in four birdies and two bogeys from 11th to 18th. Though he didn’t drop a single bogey in first, which was the case in the first three days, Bhullar did drop one on Sunday on a Par-5 at 11th, However, he birdied the Par-5s at second and fifth and parred 17th.

This came after Bhullar had a mixed day at the British Open on Saturday with the winds picking in the afternoon and making things difficult with the Indian shooting one-under 71 for a total of five-under 211 to be placed tied 32nd.

Young Swede Marcus Kinhult (70), who has been winless as a pro, played magnificent golf on the final day under tight circumstances over the final few holes, while Matt Wallace (71), who was the overnight leader, did show some chinks in his armour in the final stages.

Wallace ended tied for second alongside defending champion Pepperell and McIntyre as Richie Ramsay ended fifth after a double on Par-5 second. Tied at sixth were first round leader Jordan Smith (68) and Paul Warring (67) while host Tommy Fleetwood (73) was Tied-eighth with seven others.
