Indian golfer SSP Chawrasia registered a bogey-free 65 to move up to the tied 18th position at the Made in Denmark competition on Sunday. Gaganjeet Bhullar and Shubhankar Sharma ended at tied 63 and tied 73 respectively at the end of the week’s fixture at the Made in Denmark event.

SSP Chawrasia had his best performance in a round in Europe since 2017 as the Indian golfer put up a stunning show on Sunday. His bogey-free six under 65 took him to the tied 18th spot at the end of the event in Denmark. Chawrasia, who had won four titles in Europe in his career, was in a poor form for the last two years.

Austria’s Bernd Wiesberger won the tournament after an exciting final clash against Robert MacIntyre. Wiesberger (66) ended with 14-under 270 as compared to McIntyre’s (66) 13-under 271.

Apart from Chawrasia, two other Indian golfers Gaganjeet Bhullar and Shubhankar Sharma had a disappointing end to their campaign in Denmark. Bhullar finished at T-63 while Shubhankar was T-73rd after they had made the cut via a decent show in the second round of the event.

“I have been hitting well, but making too many three-putts and missing makeable putts. Today I hit the ball close enough and also holed many putts. Hopefully, I can carry the positives of this round further,” Chawrasia was quoted as saying by PTI.

Chawrasia will now participate in the Belgian Knock Out which will begin next week.
