In the final of the women’s team against Singapore, India won the first game with Manika Batra coming from behind to register a good win. She won the first set but dropped the next two sets, but a superb comeback ensured she won 11-8, 8-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-7 against Tianwei Feng.

Singapore then drew level as Mengyu Yu defeated India’s Madhurika Patkar in straight sets as the former won 13-11, 11-2, 11-6. In the doubles game (third match), Mouma Das and Madhurika Patkar gave India the lead as they won a four-setter 11-7, 11-6, 8-11, 11-7.

In the fourth match of the final, Batra returned for her singles match and completely dominated it to win it 3-0. She won 11-7, 11-4 and 11-7 against Yihan Zhou to help India clinch the gold in the table-tennis women’s team event.
