Sania Mirza and Barbora Strycova lost the first set but rallied to defeat Chan Yung- jan and Martina Hingis 6-7, 6-1, 10-4 in the super tie-break to book a place in the women’s doubles final at the Miami Open. They will meet the Canadian-Chinese duo of Gabriela Dabrowski and Xu Yifan for the title.

The Indo-Czech duo soon found themselves serving for the first set at 5-4 but failed to capitalize on the opportunity as Hingis and Chan broke back to level at 5-5. Both teams held their next service games before Hingis and Chan closed out the first set 7-6 in 51 minutes.
Sania and Barbora came back with a vengeance in the second set and broke their opponents twice in the first four games to storm into a 5-0 lead. It was only a matter of time before they clinched the second set.
The super tie-break didn’t start well for Hingis and Chan as they lost their first service game. Sania and Barbora made the most of the early break to go 3-0 up and consolidated their position by taking a 5-2 lead. The Swiss and Taiwanese closed the gap at 4-6, but Sania and Barbora raced to 10 by twice breaking their opponents.
