Germany's Dustin Brown took the game to another level after he used a superman dive to secure a point against Portuguese Joao Sousa in the opening round of his Wimbledon tie. The German won the match 3-6, 7-6(7-5), 6-4,6-4 and will next face World No. 1 Andy Murray in the second round.

World No. 97 Dustin Brown was cornered by Portugal's Joao Sousa after the latter won the first set and took the second one to a tiebreaker but the German player clawed back into the game registering a win in the tiebreaker to level the match.

The players were tied at 40-40 in the fourth set with both of them having two games to their name. Sousa was serving and started his search of a break point with a not-so-strong serve that Brown returned with ease forcing the Portuguese to cover a lot of ground to his right before reaching the ball. What followed was a loosener floated towards the centre of the court and most of the audience thought it was an advantage for Brown. However, the 32-year old lobbed the ball towards Sousa's left and ran towards the net in anticipation of a dropped shot but the ball was met by a strong forehand from the Portuguese instead who for a fraction of second looked to be in command for the first time in the rally which was perceived by many as an end to it.

Soon, Sousa's hopes of winning the points were shattered when Brown pulled off a superman dive towards his right meeting the ball on the full and dropped the ball brilliantly in the right half of the Portuguese's court who did not even try to get to the ball.

The German will next face Andy Murray in the second round of Wimbledon is expected to make the World No. 1 sweat for a third round place looking at his past record when he stunned Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon during a second round match in 2015.
