Stan Wawrinka has called the Indian Wells draw that puts Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Juan Martin del Potro in one section as 'crazy'. Andy Murray called the section that has 45 total Grandslam titles, not to mention Alexander Zverev and Nick Kyrgios the 'toughest of all time'.

The bottom quarter of the Indian Wells draw includes players who have a combined total of 45 Grand Slams to go along with other big names on the ATP tour like Fernando Verdasco, Alexander Zverev, Nick Kyrgios, and Steve Johnson.

Three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka, who is in the other half of the draw, went as far as to call the draw ‘crazy’.

He said, “It's quite crazy to see all those big names in the same quarter."

Looking at the draw, Murray, too, seemed surprised stating, "I've never seen anything like that."

At a pre-event press conference in Indian Wells, the Scot said, "Probably it would be one of the toughest sections of a draw of all time," reported Tennis.com.

"In terms of the number of Grand Slams you have in that section, plus some of the younger up-and-coming players that are likely to be at the top of the game … some of them are already there, and getting better all the time. And even guys like Verdasco are in there, dangerous guys."

Murray, on the other hand, has managed to escape the tough draw and the Briton said that he was pleased to avoid the group.

“It's definitely going to be tough for the guys that are there—a section you would want to be avoiding, if you can,'' he said.
