One of the reasons Roger Federer is the best in his game is because of his ability to make difficult things look ridiculously easy. The Swiss ace exhibited one such instance yet again at Rotterdam as he stunned Ruben Bemelmans with a no-look return before clinching the winner like a boss.

Federer seemed like a man on a mission to replace long-time rival Rafael Nadal at the number one position in ATP rankings as he saw off Belgium's Ruben Bemelmans’ in quite a ruthless manner, winning the game 6-1, 6-2 in a straight-sets in the Rotterdam Open.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion was in total control against the Belgian during the encounter, which lasted for 47 minutes. Federer managed to strike six aces, as he dropped only four points on his serve, while he broke the Belgian’s serve four times in the first round itself.

En route to the Swiss players' opening victory, Federer produced a fine display on the court that caused his opponent a lot of problems. The 36-year-old player broke twice during the first set against Bemelmans. Federer began the rally with his serve that forced Bemelmans to return with a quick forehand, which dropped much ahead of the baseline.

Running forward towards the net, Federer returned it with an impeccable backhand that caught Bemelmans out of position as he managed to execute an awkwardly lofted shot quickly. Chasing the overhead shot, Federer rushed to the edge of his court and produced a moment of magic with a stunning no-look shot that caught Bemelmans by surprise. As the Belgian could only return it with meek reflex right in front of Federer's left side, the maestro finished things off with his trademark forehand winner at Bemelmans' body.

Federer is now in the quarter-final of the Rotterdam Open where he faces Philipp Kohlschreiber, which if he manages to achieve would help him overcome the oldest top-ranked male player. Andre Agassi, who currently holds this record aged at 33 years and 133 days old.
