Yuki Bhambri, who recently finished as a runner-up at the Chennai Open Challenger, has gained an 11-spot promotion which helped him stand just outside the top-100 set as he reached at the 101st position. In WTA doubles rankings, though, Sania Mirza remained at number 14 in the world.

In the latest ATP rankings, Bhambri, who had achieved his career-best 88th rank in November 2015, had squandered a match point against Australia’s Jordon Thompson to settle for 48 ranking points. The jump helped the Indian tennis player reach the 101 position while other Indians like Ramkumar Ramanathan and Sumit Nagal also secured one spot profit to reach 140th and 216th position respectively. However, with one position loss, left-hander Prajnesh Gunseswaran reached 242 on ATP rankings.

In the men’s doubles category, Rohan Bopanna (20) and Divij Sharan (42) maintained their last rankings but with the loss of two spots, Leander Paes spotted on 49 followed by his partner Purav Raja on 57.

In the WTA rankings, Ankita Raina, who is India’s top-rank player in singles at the moment, lost two places and spotted on 255th position and followed by Karman Kaur Thandi who lost three spots. In doubles, Sania was unchanged at number 14 in the world.
