Divij Sharan and Jonathan Erlich succumbed to a defeat in the penultimate round of the ATP 250 tournament in Los Cabos against the number one seeded pair of Dominic Inglot and Austin Krajicek. The two fought back from a set down to equalize only to end up losing in the consequent tiebreaker.

Divij Sharan was eliminated from the ATP 250 event in Los Cabos on Saturday after the duo couldn’t defeat the challenge posed by Dominic Inglot and Austin Krajicek.

The American-British pair started off on the front foot and won the first set 6-2 but their Indian-Israeli opponents replied back in a fierce manner, emerging 6-3 victorious. In the tiebreaker to decide the match, the top seeds never even gave Sharan and Erlich a chance, as they recorded a 10-3 victory to proceed to the final where they will face the pair of Hugo Nys and Romain Arneodo from Monaco.

Sharan and Elrich had been in good form throughout the tournament, having reached the semifinal without dropping a set. The unseeded duo had even beaten the fourth-seeded pairing of Ben McLachlan and John-Patrick Smith in the Round of 16, before triumphing over Dennis Novikov and Hans Hach Verdugo in the last-eight stage.

33-year old Sharan has 4 ATP Tour Titles to his name but failed to add to his tally this time around.
