Richard Gadze came off the bench to help Delhi Dynamos secure a 1-1 draw against Atletico de Kolkata at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Dehi on Saturday. The draw stretches Delhi's winless streak to three games.

Atletico took the lead in the 26th minute, when Rino Anto delivered a wicked cross from the right wing and Delhi goalkeeper Toni Doblas could only fist it on to the path of Iain Hume. The Canadian forward did not make any mistake in blasting the ball into the roof of the net, and with it, scored his fourth goal of the season.

Doblas had to take the blame for that goal and a few seconds later he came under the scanner once again. The Spaniard failed to collect Jaime Gavilan's long shot and nearly handed Hume another chance to score. But luckily for Delhi, he recovered in time and reached the ball before Hume could poke it in.

Kolkata held a well deserved 1-0 lead into the half-time break and looked well on course for their third win in four games.

Delhi, however, came back strongly into the game in the second half, and in the 61st minute, Richard Gadze, who came on the pitch in the 55th minute in place of Dos Santos, provided the home side with the equalizer.

The goal arrived after a delightful build-up play between Florent Malouda and Robin Singh in the midfield, before the Frenchman found Gadze at the edge of the box. The Delhi striker turned his marker, Augustin Fernandes, and then rifled his shot into the top corner.

Delhi manager Roberto Carlos made a tactical change in the 63rd minute by playing Malouda as a deep-lying playmaker and bringing in Adil Nabi in place of Hans Mulder. The Frenchman began to pull the strings in this role as he had more time and space on the ball. He set Len Dougnel through on goal with a delightful long ball, but the forward's attempted chip, over the top of the on-rushing goalkeeper, went wide.

The Lions came close to taking the lead in the 76th minute of the game when Gadze hit the post after being picked out by Nabi inside the box. The Ghanian forward missed his chance to hit the target from the rebound.

The match ended 1-1 and both the teams remain in top-four of the points table. Delhi, however, will be disappointed at having failed to win all three points despite creating a lot of chances in the second half.
