I have forgiven MS Dhoni, says Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh
Yograj Singh, Yuvraj Singh’s father, has expressed his happiness over MS Dhoni's century in the second ODI in Cuttack and said that he has forgiven the former Indian skipper. But he has also added that Dhoni should 'apologise to God' for wasting three years of Yuvi's cricket career.
Yesterday, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni struck a magnificent stand of 256 runs for the fourth wicket to help the hosts post a challenging 381 after they had been reduced to 25/3 by the fifth over. England rode on a brilliant century by Eoin Morgan and cracking fifties by opener Jason Roy (82), Joe Root (54) and Moeen Ali (55), but fell agonizingly short by 15 runs in the end.
After watching the sublime partnership of the duo, the 58-year-old Yograj, who was always critical of Dhoni's captaincy and has blamed him for his son's exclusion from the Indian team, said that he has forgiven Dhoni and "God will take care of his doings".
"God bless Dhoni. I wanted him to score his hundred today," Yograj said, as reported by the Deccan Chronicle.
"Yes, I have forgiven Dhoni. God will take care of his doings. I pray to God to forgive him for his evil against my son Yuvi."
