Yograj Singh, Yuvraj Singh’s father, has expressed his happiness over MS Dhoni's century in the second ODI in Cuttack and said that he has forgiven the former Indian skipper. But he has also added that Dhoni should 'apologise to God' for wasting three years of Yuvi's cricket career.

Yesterday, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni struck a magnificent stand of 256 runs for the fourth wicket to help the hosts post a challenging 381 after they had been reduced to 25/3 by the fifth over. England rode on a brilliant century by Eoin Morgan and cracking fifties by opener Jason Roy (82), Joe Root (54) and Moeen Ali (55), but fell agonizingly short by 15 runs in the end.

After watching the sublime partnership of the duo, the 58-year-old Yograj, who was always critical of Dhoni's captaincy and has blamed him for his son's exclusion from the Indian team, said that he has forgiven Dhoni and "God will take care of his doings".

"God bless Dhoni. I wanted him to score his hundred today," Yograj said, as reported by the Deccan Chronicle.

"Yes, I have forgiven Dhoni. God will take care of his doings. I pray to God to forgive him for his evil against my son Yuvi."

He added, "He (Dhoni) wasted 3 years of Yuvi"s cricket career. It was uncalled for. He should realise this and apologise to God almighty. I have always forgiven people who have done bad to me and my kids. God is great."

It was reminiscent of old memories when Yuvraj and Dhoni tonked the English bowlers to all sides of the Barabati to bring up their respective centuries.

"Both of them have been great cricketers and great finishers. God bless both of them.

"Yuvi, my son keeps working harder and harder. I pray to God all the time and thank him always. Congratulation to my loving elder daughter (in-law) Hazel (Keech). Be with him all the time. Love each other and look after each other always," Yograj concluded.
