Brad Haddin has expressed his views on Kagiso Rabada’s ban, stating that the suspension is disappointing for the South African player but he also added that the move certainly pleased the Australian cricket team. Rabada has been banned for the third and fourth Tests of the series.

After the end of the second Test between South Africa and Australia, the 22-year-old fast bowler returned figures of 11/ 150, which helped the hosts win the Port Elizabeth Test and level the series at 1-1. The next two games of the series will be played in Cape Town and Johannesburg and in those games, SA will definitely miss the presence of Rabada.

"It’s disappointing for Rabada, but he’ll have an interesting couple of Test matches. I know the South Africans, playing us, I’ve heard them say a couple of times this is their big series and now he’s got to sit back and watch what’s going on out there. It will be interesting to see how he comes back after that because he’ll be hurting, no doubt, over the next couple of Test matches," Haddin, the former Australian cricketer, was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia website.

On the last delivery of the 52nd over of the visitor’s innings during the second Test, Rabada managed to grab the wicket of the skipper Steve Smith. After that, the bowler looked straight into Smith’s eyes and screamed. When Smith was going towards the non-striking end to discuss the review with Shaun Marsh, the pacer shoved the shoulder of the Aussie skipper, much to the displeasure of the visiting captain.

"For someone so young that’s quite impressive. I thought the spell in the second innings to go after Warner and the openers, that was a pretty placid wicket, and from where I was sitting that was some pretty hostile bowling," he said.

"He took it on himself there to get the big wicket of Davey (Warner). Davey played well in that first innings (for 60). It’s disappointing for the game that he’s not playing but from our point of view it’s a bonus because he is a class act."
