Former England cricketer Dominic Cork has rated Ben Stokes highly and believes that the seasoned all-rounder will end up as England’s best-ever cricketer. The New Zealand born cricketer, who made his England debut in 2011, is currently ranked No.2 among all-rounders in Test cricket.

It was Ben Stokes’ unbeaten 98-ball 84* in the 2019 World Cup Final, against New Zealand at Lord’s, that helped England win their first-ever mega title. Following that, Stokes stunned the world with a heroic 135 against Australia at Leeds, successfully chasing down 359, during the 2019 Ashes. Since then, the no.2 ranked all-rounder has been considered as the best in business. In this regard, former England pacer Dominic Cork backed Stokes to become the best cricketer that England have ever produced.

"I genuinely think he can get better because of his work ethic. He wants to bat, he wants to bowl, he wants to work on his game, wants to get better. I know he works a hell of a lot on his bowling as well. I just see this man not becoming only the best in the world but one of the best we have had ever. That's how highly I rate him," Cork said on Sky Sports show The Cricket Debate.

As cricket marked its return amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Ben Stokes lead the England side in the first Test against West Indies, on July 8, in Southampton. In the ongoing Manchester Test, Stokes top-scored for England with a 176 in the first innings, taking the total to a massive 469/9(d).
