A game of cricket is won when the mini-battles fought during the contest go your way. It was certainly the case with Trent Boult when he outsmarted Rohit Sharma yet again in his career, sending the former MI captain for a golden duck as Rajasthan Royals faced off against Mumbai Indians in Wankhede.

Having lost a couple of games at the start, the toss went against the Mumbai Indians as Sanju Samson won it and elected to field first. The decision went down well with the Royals as Trent Boult looked at his lethal best after removing Rohit Sharma on the first ball that the Indian faced off in the first over itself.

Ishan Kishan faced three dot balls on the first three deliveries before rotating the strike on the fourth delivery. As Rohit took guard to face his first delivery of the match, Boult dished a good length delivery near the off stump that shaped away from the right-hander, luring him outside the off. Rohit looked to drive at it and got the outside edge that went flying to the keeper's right where skipper Sanju grasped the ball with a firm right hand.

Seeing the former MI skipper depart for a golden duck against Trent Boult, the Twitterverse erupted in disappointment.
