Cricket is a team game, but extraordinary catches can lead to crucial opposition wickets. Such was the case in the match between the USA and Pakistan wherein Steven Taylor's brilliant effort in the slips resulted in a spectacular catch, sending Mohammad Rizwan back to the pavilion.

‌A sunny day in Dallas set the scene for the Group A match between Pakistan and the USA. Host captain Monank Patel won the toss and chose to field first, a decision that quickly showed results. Nosthush Kenjige bowled a tight first over, giving away only nine runs with a Rizwan maximum giving Pakistan a decent start. But Rizwan’s stay was short-lived, courtesy of Steven Taylor’s screamer.

On the second ball of the second over, Saurabh Netravalkar bowled a good-length ball to Rizwan. The Pak batter tried to defend it but was caught off guard by the ball’s away movement as he edged it straight to the first slip. Steven Taylor, positioned at first slip, saw the ball coming and made a spectacular dive to his right, catching it just above the ground with one hand. The entire USA team ran to congratulate him on the amazing catch.

Fans on Twitter were amazed by Taylor’s effort and quickly took to social media to praise his incredible catch.
