In cricket, a bowler delivers the ball to the batter, but it's always amusing when the ball ends up near a fielder instead. That's exactly what happened during the Qualifier 2 game between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad when Aiden Markram's delivery landed close to short fine-leg fielder.

‌Chasing 176 runs, the Royals encountered a rough start as Tom Kohler-Cadmore departed in the fourth over. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson steadied the ship with a solid 41-run partnership, pushing the score to 56/1 in seven overs. Yet, the tide turned against them as Sunrisers bowlers struck with Shahbaz Ahmed dismissing Jaiswal in the eighth over, followed by Abhishek Sharma claiming the crucial wicket of Sanju Samson. The woes compounded for the Royals when Shahbaz struck again, removing Riyan Parag and Ravichandran Ashwin in the 12th over. Amidst Rajasthan's mini-collapse, a moment of amusement caught the attention of social media.

Pat Cummins passed the ball to Aiden Markram for the 13th over, as the pitch favoured spinners. The Proteas star delivered a full-length ball to Shimron Hetmyer angling onto the stumps with precision. However, as he prepared to bowl the second ball, an unexpected slip from his hand caused the ball to fly wildly towards the short fine-leg position, much to the crowd's amusement. Furthermore, Markram acknowledged the slip caused by the dew on the field, took the ball and wiped it with his handkerchief before proceeding. Meanwhile, on-field umpire Nitin Menon deemed it a no-ball prompting Markram to  bowl again.

Twitter exploded with amusement over Markram's delivery blunder, with users flocking to social media to share their thoughts.
