Travis Head has often struggled against left-arm seamers, having been dismissed by them on many occasions. In the second T20I between Australia and Scotland in Edinburgh, Scotland fast bowler Bradley Currie delivered a brilliant ball that shattered Head’s stumps, sending him back for a golden duck.

‌The Australian team entered the match brimming with confidence after their previous performance, and Scotland captain Richie Berrington opted to have them bat first. Brandon McMullen opened the attack for the hosts, with Travis Head and Jake Fraser-McGurk managing to put 5/0 on the board in the first over. However, their partnership was short-lived as Head fell in the second over to an excellent delivery from Currie.

On the fourth delivery of the second over,  Currie bowled a good-length ball that pitched around the fourth stump. The white rock veered back sharply as the Aussie opener aimed to defend it. Additionally, there was a small gap between bat and pad allowed the ball to slip through and hit the top of the off stump. As soon as the bails fell, Currie and his teammates were elated, celebrating the dismissal of a Head with such an impressive delivery. The reaction on Twitter was immediate with many highlighting how left-arm seamers continue to outfox Travis Head.
