Errors are meant to be corrected, and even the finest players are troubled by persistent challenges. This was evident with Virat Kohli during the first Test between India and Bangladesh, where he fell back into his old habit of chasing deliveries outside off-stump, resulting in his dismissal.

After a hiatus of over 40 days, cricketing action resumed for the Men in Blue as they faced Bangladesh in the first Test at Chepauk. With the World Test Championship on the line, this red-ball contest was crucial for both teams. Bangladesh’s skipper won the toss and chose to bowl first on a dry Chennai pitch, a decision that paid off quickly as they dismissed Rohit Sharma in the sixth over. The setbacks continued when Shubman Gill fell for a duck, leaving India at 34/2 and bringing Virat Kohli to the crease, with all eyes on him to stabilize the innings. However, Kohli couldn't deliver as expected, falling like his previous dismissals.

On the third ball of the 10th over, Hasan Mahmud bowled an away-seamer to the former Indian captain. The delivery was pitched outside off-stump, luring Kohli into a loose drive away from his body as he shuffled across the stumps. The result was a thick outside edge, and Bangladesh wicketkeeper Litton Das easily collected the catch behind the stumps. Kohli's cheap dismissal left him visibly frustrated as he walked back to the pavilion, while Mahmud and his teammates celebrated, igniting a frenzy on Twitter.

Oh lord!
