Pakistan's reputation for inconsistent fielding is widely recognised, but there are always players who strive to change that perception. Azam Khan provided a glimpse of such efforts during a CPL match between Guyana and Antigua where he pulled off a remarkable one-handed stumping.

‌Leading the points table, Guyana Amazon Warriors were put into bat after Antigua Falcons won the toss and chose to bowl. Justin Greaves and Brandon King opened the innings for Guyana but were soon under pressure from Antigua's spin attack. Gudakesh Motie set the tone with a brilliant first over, conceding just three runs. His magic continued when he dismissed Greaves in the following over, thanks to a superb stumping by Azam Khan.

On the third ball of the third over, Motie bowled a flighted delivery outside the off stump, nearly reaching the tramline. Greaves misjudged the length and stepped forward, attempting a big hit over long-off but missed the ball completely. Azam Khan was quick on his feet as he dived to his right and took a sharp one-handed catch. He swiftly knocked off the bails in the same fluid motion, leaving Greaves well short of the crease. Although the delivery was called a wide, Greaves had no reprieve, as stumping is valid even off a wide ball.

What stumping!!! surprised
