Amidst the intense action on the field, it's equally crucial to keep things light in the dugout with some laughter. The White Ferns did just that during the second T20I in Mackay, where Eden Carson pranked Jess Kerr using a grass insect found on the stadium turf, sparking some playful moments.

‌Australia Women leaned on Alyssa Healy’s 38 and Ellyse Perry’s 34 to post 142. However, their innings were cut short by Amelia Kerr’s impressive three-wicket haul, restricting the visitors to under 150. In reply, Suzie Bates’s 34 gave New Zealand a strong start, but a middle-order collapse derailed their chase. Amidst the tense moments, a lighthearted incident brought laughter to the host’s dugout, adding a touch of fun to the proceedings.

During the game, Eden Carson pulled off a hilarious prank that had her teammates in fits of laughter. While most of the New Zealand players and support staff were amused, Jess Kerr reacted differently.

The prank unfolded during the New Zealand innings, just after the 12th over. Carson spotted an insect near the dugout, and with the game still in progress, she quietly placed it on Kerr’s shoulder. Unaware of the prank, Kerr was startled and leapt from her seat, much to the amusement of her teammates and others nearby.
