Twitter Reacts as Nahid Rana Takes Five-Wicket Haul in 1st ODI vs Pakistan

Anupam Pandey

Nahid Rana is all over Pakistan in the first ODI at Shere Bangla National Stadium. Even with its star batting line-up, Pakistan didn't have any answers to the deliveries made by Rana. Bowling 7 overs in the game, he took a five-wicket haul, dismantling Pakistan's top order.

The first ODI between Pakistan and Bangladesh at Dhaka unfolded in a dramatic way. With Pakistan batting first, it was expected that their batsmen would have an upper hand over the Bangladeshi bowlers. But Nahid Rana took a wild card entry which no one expected.

Coming as the team's fourth bowling option, he finished up as the best. In 7 overs, he troubled the Pakistani batsmen to a great extent, and even took some crucial wickets. Even though the pitch is known for supporting spinners in the middle overs, Nahid Rana turned the tables pretty quick with his five-wicket haul.

All of the top five batsmen of Pakistan were dismissed by Nahid Rana himself. He started off by taking the wicket of Sahibzada Farhan, who scored 27 runs. But things mainly changed when he took the much-needed wicket of Mohammad Rizwan, dismissing the skipper for just 10 runs.

Let's see how the fans on Twitter have reacted to Rana’s bowling abilities in this game.

Most Dangerous Team

Taking a look at this reaction, there is a slight confusion whether it was a taunt to the Pakistani team or an appreciation for Nahid Rana. Still, the user termed the Pakistan team as the one that revives the career of struggling bowlers.

Not the First Time

Well, the Pakistani fans and players should have been aware of the disaster in the form of Nahid Rana. He didn't just dismantle their batting line-up in the first ODI; he also did this back in a home Test at Rawalpindi.

Bumrah in Mind

A Twitter user thinks that Pakistan is going against Nahid Rana by keeping Jasprit Bumrah in their minds. And this could probably be the reason why they are losing wickets way too quickly than expected.;
