Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shafali Verma have received notices from the BCCI. Both of the players missed out on the doping tests last year and have not provided an explanation for the same. This has raised a serious concern for the Indian team.

For any player who is a part of the Indian cricket team, it is necessary to ensure that he or she has not used any illegal substance to gain an advantage over the other players. Due to this reason, the National Anti-Doping Agency takes tests of every player to ensure that only those who pass are able to play for the team.

These tests take place every year, and even the BCCI has made it compulsory for every player to take the same. But last year, this test was not attended by two players of the Indian team. These included Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Indian opener, and Shafali Verma, the aggressive striker of the Women's team.

Both of them were unable to complete the doping tests last year, which has caused a concern. Now, the BCCI has also sent them a notice regarding the same, where the reason why they had skipped the doping tests has also been asked. It remains to be seen what steps will be taken against them by the BCCI, before the next doping tests.

Our Take

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shafali Verma missing out on the doping tests have raised some serious concerns among the fans. While all the players were able to attend and complete the same, these two missed out. However, the BCCI has now asked for a formal explanation, and it seems that the matter will be sorted out soon. Both Jaiswal and Shafali have been playing for the Indian team for a long time, and have been a crucial part of the line-up.
